Skyscraper Shaped Like Beyonce's Body Being Built in Australia
Melbourne’s skyline is about to get even more “***Flawless.” A new skyscraper is set to go up in the Australian metropolis, and it is shaped like none other than Beyonce.
In the works from architecture firm Elenberg Fraser, the so-called Premier Tower features stunning curves and edges that take direct inspiration from Queen Bey’s famed form. The building, which is expected to house retail and residential space, mimics the superstar’s shape in an artistic way and also finds function in its design.
“The twists and turns of this new project belie its pure and simple, first principles rationale… This project is the culmination of our significant research into how to best work with individual site and climatic constraints, brought together using our new parametric modeling techniques,” the firm writes in a statement. “The complex form — a vertical cantilever — is actually the most effective way to redistribute the building’s mass, giving the best results in terms of structural dispersion, frequency oscillation and wind requirements.”
“Art and science? You betcha,” the statement continues. “For those more on the art than science side, we will reveal that the form does pay homage to something more aesthetic — we’re going to trust you’ve seen the music video for Beyonce’s ‘Ghost.'”

A cut off of the Grammy winner’s revolutionary 2014 self-titled studio album, the minimalist “Ghost” video shows Beyonce, now 33, in a figure-hugging swath of fabric. Her curves are on full display as she stretches and strains against the spandex, thus inspiring the design for the Premier Tower.
Beyonce has yet to comment on her 68-story tribute, which is currently without a planned completion date.
