D.K. Metcalf, also known by his birth name DeKaylin Zecharius Metcalf, was born on 14 December 1997 in Oxford, Mississippi. The 22-years-of-age American native is the son to his former NFL player father, Terrence Metcalf, and loving mother, Tonya Metcalf. Terrence played as an offensive lineman in the NFL for over seven seasons during the early 2000s. DeKaylin grew up alongside his four siblings.

As of his educational background, Metcalf attended Oxford High School in Oxford, Mississippi. There on, he initiated his football career and later got enrolled in the University of Mississippi.
The young prospect has strong physics with a height of 6 feet and 3 inches (1.91m) and he weighs at 103 kg (228 lbs).

Early College Career Stats
Metcalf registered the career stats of 224 receptions for 3,302 yards and 49 touchdowns during his high school. Following that, he kicked off his college career with Ole Miss Rebels as a wide receiver in 2016. Unfortunately, the talented freshman suffered a season-ending foot injury after playing just two games.
Net year, Metcalf came strong and recorded 39 receptions for 646 yards and seven touchdowns in 2017. Meanwhile, he was going good with 26 receptions for 569 yards before sustaining another season-ending neck injury in a match against Arkansas in 2018. However, his college stats of 67 receptions for 1228 yards and 14 touchdowns were enough for Metcalf to book his place in 2019 NFL Draft, which takes place on April 25-27.

The preparation for the draft is going well for Metcalf as he recently recorded a 4.33 40-yard dash, a 40.5-inch vertical leap, and an 11-foot-2 broad jump at the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine.
Seattle Seahawks Selected Him In The 2019 NFL Draft
The Seattle Seahawks selected Metcalf in the second round (64th overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft. On 8 September 2019, he made his first regular-season game against the Cincinnati Bengals. There, he made four receptions for 89 receiving yards as the Seahawks won 21-20.
In the Wild Card round of the playoffs against the Philadelphia Eagles on 5 2020, he recorded seven catches for 160 yards and a touchdown. This is the NFL record for most receiving yards by a rookie in a playoff game.
