In 1993, he was traded to the New York Jets in exchange for a third-round pick. He sustained a serious concussion during the 1995 season. He will not be able to return to action until November 19. He signed with the Arizona Cardinals as a free agent in 1996. He considered retiring the following season, but chose to remain with the Bengals for one more season.
